You ever feel like no matter which direction you turn to it is the wrong direction?
Your wheels are spinning. The effort is there, but the results…well, nothing to show for except another dead end–meanwhile life is catching up, bills are catching up, exhaustion is catching up. That’s how I feel right now; you probably feel that way too. How do I know? Because like attracts like. Just how it is. If you found this blog, this article, you 100% feel the same way.
So what do we do?
Well, we can give up.
That seems like a relief in some ways.
Instead of trying to provide a better life for our loved ones we can just…give up. Watch shows we’ve been denying ourselves, follow our favorite sports teams from our childhood again, retreat into books, get deeply involved in a hobby. Honestly, none of that stuff is bad…but it is giving up, you know that. I know that.
If you feel like me, there is so much that needs to get done that even if I worked 24 hours a day indefinitely without getting tired I still would not have enough time to get everything done that I need to get done. By choosing a task to do means not choosing another task to do.
“Damned if you do, damned if you don’t,” they say.
And the tasks, by their nature, when completed lead to even more tasks. Send an email, get five back. Send five, get twenty five. A never-ending game of whack-a-mole that cannot be won.
This is no way to live life. But what is a man to do?
Well, the most important thing to remember is that you are a man–and men figure it out!
I don’t have all the answers but I have some ideas I’m gonna try:
- Figure out how to make a ton more money – I feel like, when I look at my problems in life, the stress, the challenges, my crappy car, etc., about 90% of my problems can be immediately solved by money.
That’s it. That’s the only bullet point. Money will solve / eliminate about 90% of my problems. Then with 90% of problems eliminated I will be able to have the time and energy to tackle the other 10%.
Sounds good?
